Sometimes I miss the states....

Today was the first day of Uni...and let me just say that I honestly miss William & Mary so much. The University of Adelaide is HUGE...well maybe no Tech or Penn State huge, but it's a lot bigger than W&M and it's not as friendly. My morning started at 7:30 with a shower and some brekky (which I must get up for otherwise I'll starve to death). I walked to uni with Jenn, we have the same lecture today, Australian Pop Culture. Lecture was interesting and the class sounds really interesting. After wondering around for awhile and asking directions, we went to go buy our lecture packets, which was in the basement of some building. The line to buy packets, being sold by only one woman, was out the door. So we decided to wait a bit and went to the library to figure out how to get wireless on my computer. After a couple of tries on my own, I went to IT and asked for their help. Jenn left for another class and I spent 45 minutes with the IT guy and my laptop. Which ended with him telling me that my "foam card" for the wireless services was old and I need to download the new card. Great. This would of course be so easy, considering I don't have wireless and they have no lan connections in the library. Woo. So I decided I would go wait in that line for my packets, but they only accept cash. I've got time before Jenn gets out of class, so I went to the Bank to take out cash. Whoops. ATM is broken and the line for the counter...yup you guessed right, out the door. So scratch all that. Needless to say I found one of three books I was searching for in the library. I went back to St. Mark's to be greeted with dodgy internet.

And by dodgy...I mean absolutely the slowest connection when it is working, but usually it comes in and out and never lets me connect to Skype or AIM or be logged in to my email for long. So this entire rant is basically to say.... I MISS THE STATES
